Diane Bartoo Photography has been busy creating a gorgeous outdoor studio. Cynthia Covert from Plant Artisan meticulously designed areas that would be perfect for outdoor photography. She incorporated several color schemes and planned for the different bloom times of many of the plants giving the garden blooms in various colors and tones from early Spring to well into Winter. Here in Riverside CA, we can have outdoor sessions year round (except for rainy days!)

This little one was photographed right in the middle of the The Sage Cobblestone Trail. This trail is flanked by Russian Sage on both sides and Mexican Sage in the back. The wispy airy flowers of both Sage plants lends a painted feel to this gorgeous portrait garden area at Diane Bartoo Photography.

This portrait of a little girl was taken during her 2 year birthday session at Diane Bartoo Photography. This area is called "The Lavender Path",. In Spring the entire path is lined with Lavender plants. They bloom again in Fall creating soft pops of color. It's a great area for Pregnancy, Families and Children.

This beautiful mommy and her 2 month old baby at Diane Bartoo Photography for her newborn session. Newborns baby's grow so fast and where it's best to do a newborn session by baby's second week, this portrait is proof that it's never too late for a mommy and me portrait with your precious baby.

With a two month old session, you can have the best of both worlds for your baby session, a sleepy baby pose and and awake baby pose. This little one gave us the littlest of smirks, but look at those smiling eyes and her beautiful mommy too!

This precious 2 month old gave us this sweet sleepy pose. She fell asleep for a few minutes for us to place her in a basket on the meadow at Diane Bartoo Photography. The meadow is a large 500 square foot area that is bordered by scented plants and fluffy grasses.

Diane Bartoo Photography has an acre of gorgeous garden areas for your photography session. The garden is lush and completely private! There is no car traffic, no foot traffic, no one to disrupt your session, it completely and utterly serene.

The garden was meticulously designed by Cynthia Covert of plantartisan.com. She created umpteen areas chocked full of light and airy plants that create brilliant and subtle backgrounds. I have areas for all moods and for all ages. Diane Bartoo Photography has a special place for newborn babies, but also services Pregnancy, Children and Families.

2nd Year Birthday Photography

This beautiful two year boy came to see me on his birthday! He was so adorable as he ran from spot to spot. Love his gorgeous curls and sweet face. This portrait was taken just before sunset and you can see the sunlight shining behind him and his beautiful mama.

The second year birthday session is one of the funnest and most challenging session of all. The two year old is always the boss, but we, at Diane Bartoo Photography, know how to approach toddlers to get the best possible outcome and so far we are 100% successful.

The first step is letting your little one become accustomed to his new surroundings. We stand back and let him run and explore for bit, sometimes this approach is the best way to way to gain trust. We'll bring out a ball and play catch, or throw the ball up and let it hit our heads! Kids love this and especially the two year old. He might even try to toss the ball back to "get" us on the head too!

Newborn Baby Girl in the Meadow at Diane Bartoo Photography

This Newborn baby was photographed on the Meadow at Diane Bartoo Photography. The Meadow has been planted so that different flowers are in bloom during different seasons. In Spring, the Meadow is rich with yellows from the Moonshine plant, in the Fall, deep purples are everywhere from Autumn Sage and Mexican Sage bushes. Summer brings the soft pink flowers from Mexican Primrose, babies swaddled in pink and surrounded with pink is so soft and beautiful.

The Meadow is an amazing place for portraits. Kids of all ages love the scented foliage that permeates the air and the natural stones are so inviting as they circle the different areas.

Newborn babies in natural settings are breath taking. We wrap newborn babies in mustards and purple in the Fall and Pinks in the Summer.
